Murph Workout for Beginners

Murph Workout for Beginners

So, you are just starting out and want to learn about The Murph Workout for Beginners. Well, it’s a system where you can start very low key and then build up to the level you want to get to.

The Murph Workout is basically a simple, but tough, process of physical events. These are specifically designed to be simple so you can do them anywhere but give maximum benefit to your stamina and well-being.

The Murph Workout consists of 5 main actions.

  • A One Mile Run
  • 100 Pull Ups
  • 200 Push Ups
  • 300 Squats
  • A One Mile Run

All while wearing a 20-pound combat vest. And hopefully (when fully fit) done in around 20 minutes.

None of the above need any special equipment. So, you can see that you don’t need to buy anything or go anywhere special to begin your training. The Murph Workout for Beginners will be just a more sedate version of the above. Use smaller weights and take as long as it takes, just gradually build up to suit yourself.

The Goal

The goal of the Murph Workout for Beginners as well as the main Murph Workout, is to get you as fit as you want to be. This can be something to your own satisfaction or to go all the way and compete against others from around the world. This is a special annual event that takes place on the official Murph Challenge Day, which is Memorial Day (Traditionally the Last Monday in May) in the USA.

The second goal of The Murph is to get sponsors for the training you are doing. This money goes to the rehabilitation of service personnel who experience difficulties after returning from active service.

Conclusion

The Murph Workout for Beginners is designed to get you fit. It will do so as long as you take it easy in the first stages. Cut all of the exercises down by a half. Don’t give yourself a time limit, take as long as it takes. And if that’s too much then cut it down again.

You may want to consult a doctor before you attempt any of these exercises!

Using the Murph Workout for Beginners gradually you can build up to the complete plan.

Remember to write down all the exercises you do so you can judge how you are progressing. Every exercise, every day.
